The Peppermint Palm celebrates The Princess Project

As most of you know, I attended the University of Kentucky in Lexington, KY. During my undergraduate days, I loved to frequent one of my favorite stores in Lexington, "The Peppermint Palm". The Peppermint Palm is Lexington's signature Lilly Pulitzer store. I always loved the girls who worked there and really loved the store!
One of the managers contacted me about spreading the word for one of their upcoming projects in Lexington, KY going on next week.
Next week is America Recycles Week in which the Peppermint Palm is participating with Lilly Pulitzer to raise money and items for The Princess Project.
The Princess Project provides dresses to young high school girls so that they are able to go to their prom. Check out their website HERE.

Next week in the store...Nov 9th-15th the PP is asking their customers to bring in old bridesmaid, prom and/or cocktail dresses to donate to the Princess Project and in return they will receive $10 off a new resort purchase.
Please girls, if you live in the Lexington area, which I know a lot of my readers do, please consider donating a used prom, cocktail (think old sorority formal/semi-formal) dress to the Peppermint Palm- think of how excited a young girl would be to get a dress to wear to prom :)
To visit the Peppermint Palm's website for hours, current items, etc. please click HERE. They are located at 3333 Tates Creek Rd.

What a wonderful charity! I wonder what other stores are participating?
Hmmm do you think may be able to get a boutique in Memphis to participate in a project like this? I know I have three bridesmaid dresses that I would be happy to donate. If it's something you would be interested in doing I would be happy to help with getting it going, just let me know.
What a great cause megan. I wish I lived in lexington so I could donate a dress. Do you know of anywhere else that has the same program?
Wish I lived close by...that sounds great!
Consider it done :o)
I'm going to link to your post on my blog and Facebook; hopefully it will get the word out to some more LEX girls. Thanks for the info!!
